I selected this item because I tend to relocate fairly often and I'm replacing all of my heavy furniture with items I can easily move myself. The backrest could be a little bigger... it doesn't provide much support when you lean back on it but I placed two square pillows that I used to keep on my old couch against the back and now it's very comfy. Mine is placed against a wall. If you don't do that, it still may not support a heavier person when leaning back. It's also wide enough for the dog to sit on it with me and he loves it too. I haven't slept on it yet so I can't say if it's comfortable for sleeping. I may consider getting more of these and if they would beef up the backrest a little more, I would definitely order another one.

I am 5,9 and yes it is a little short but I got 2 and it sleeps an adult well. Great for sitting inmy office.

Bought this for ocassional guests and as extra seating in my home office. I was hoping it would be a bit taller but is perfectly functional. I love the color which goes with my blue office decor.
