I built three computers using this motherboard. One of the three failed within the first month, I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. After installing the replacement, I googled "Gigabyte Z68 Boot Loop" and found that many others were having this same problem. So I thought I'd be smart and buy another as a backup just in case...Well not much later, the second of the 3 computers started exhibiting the same symptom. No problemo, I thought. I will just install the backup motherboard I bought for just this case! Well, I installed it and it has the same problem right out of the box! Luckily, Amazon is graciously allowing me to return it for a refund. In the meantime, I ordered the Intel version of this motherboard and installed it replacing the Gigabyte motherboard and it booted up flawlessly. The Intel motherboard may not be as sexy as the Gigabyte one but it just works and at this point that's all that matters. I will stick with Intel motherboards from now on...
So the bottom line for me is that 3 out of 5 of these have failed for me so far. I am fully expecting the other two to fail in the near future at which time I will get another Intel motherboard and finally be done with Gigabyte motherboards...forever!

This has been one of the best MB I've ever install, though the instruction is a bit silly and worthless, but then you shouldn't be putting a computer together if you needed the installation instruction of a MB. So much room to play in overclocking and the MB simply fits perfectly in a mid tower with PSU in the bottom. Even with the liquid CPU cooling system install inside, this has been the perfect fit.

When I say solid, I really have two meanings. First, the motherboard is of a heavy construction; in essence, no flex. Install your GPU, and the board doesn't go up and down like a trampoline. The second is of more importance. The Z68 really works. The software allows non-bios adjustments to the CPU (in my case a i7-2600K) and to the memory. The Gigabyte is a little fiddly regarding the front-of-case wiring, but the performance makes that easy to overlook.
The board is easy to install (again the goes back to the heavy construction), has all the features of more expensive MBs, and is from a reputable company. It also will save you roughly fifty bucks from comparable boards from other manufacturers. I should mention that my original build used a Asus P8P67 board which arrived with a bad chipset, and enough flex to become worry-some when I installed a pair of MSI 560s. I have no idea why Asus feels that a light-weight board is necessary. I don't care if the thing weighs 20 pounds as long as it's works and does not feel like it could break in two.
It's your choice, but I doubt if you could go wrong using the board.
